Tottenham Cycling FAQ
Who is the club for?
At Tottenham Cycling we aim to be the most inclusive club in London having been established by a group of local refugees, mainly from Eritrea. We welcome everyone!
Committed to growing the sport, we promote grassroots cycling and support a calendar of events that appeal to cyclists of all levels and disciplines for those in Tottenham and beyond. We strive to be North London’s most inclusive cycling organisation.
We have an engaged community of cyclists who make an outstanding contribution to their own club and the wider cycling community. Through an active volunteering programme, our members are encouraged to give back in a way that is a positive experience for everyone with training available to those interested in taking their hobby one step further.
Can I just turn up and ride?
Yes, you can cycle with Tottenham Cycling as a guest, for two rides to decide whether our rides are what you are seeking.
If you want to become a regular rider then you will need to Join Tottenham Cycling.
Do I have to have a racing bike?
Most riders at the club run will be on a road bike but we do also have members riding all varieties of bike. Enthusiasm for cycling and being part of a club are the most important things.
Do I need to wear lycra
Not at all. Lycra can be a comfortable material for exercising, but you can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
What level does the club ride at?
Tottenham Cycling is a mixed ability club, and our ride leaders ensure no-one is left behind. We welcome riders of all abilities.
